Notice to PHM20 Participants as of April 27, 2020 – PHM20 is Canceled

The safety and well-being of our attendees, staff and community continue to be the top priority for SHM, APA and AAP. The three organizations and the PHM Planning Committee have made the decision to cancel PHM20 amidst escalating health concerns related to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the increasing need to not displace our participants and faculty during this crucial time. SHM, APA and AAP remain committed to connecting you with meaningful education and events and are exploring options to virtualize your PHM20 experience.

We appreciate your support and understanding, and we thank you for your commitment to hospital medicine.

Yes. All attendees will receive refunds related to PHM20. Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment. We ask that you allow us up to 30 business days for these requests to be processed.

We are exploring virtual options to offer select content originally anticipated to be presented as part of PHM20. Additional details will be provided in the coming weeks regarding anticipated date of release, content offerings and more.

We will be reaching out to each submitter separately in regards to your abstract submission. We are looking into a virtual publishing option for the accepted posters and will reach out with additional information very soon.

We greatly value our relationship and will refund your fees in full.

Please reach out to your airline or travel agent to discuss cancellation policies. While we do not manage refunds associated with individual travel costs, some airlines may offer refunds or fee deferrals due to travel bans.

Similarly, we will not refund hotel costs for participants.  Please reach out to Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club online or by phone 407-934-7000 to cancel your reservation.
